IV Therapy / Blood
Withdrawal for LVN's
This two day course meets California State requirements for IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification for LVN's. Areas of IV therapy and blood withdrawal covered thoroughly in this combined class include: methods for performing IV therapy/blood withdrawal, basic IV review, and advanced theory (maintaining PICC lines, central lines, pumps, etc.). Upon course registration, your manual will be shipped to the provided shipping address. This manual provides you with 12 hours of Home Study prior to our course. Each day runs from 8am, to 6:30pm. There will be 4 hours of take home assignments between the first and second day. This covers your 36 CEH’s. To ensure students feel comfortable during testing, safety issues and possible complications are covered prior to examination. Practical testing on each other is required on the last day of class. A proxy may be brought in your place if you cannot have a live stick performed on you. LVN’s will be issued an IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certificate upon successful completion of this course.
